Blue Ribbon Trailers -
(March 8, 2008)
The introduction of "Sales Configurator" in
SmallMfg convinced Blue Ribbon to buy SmallMfg for their Specialty
Trailer manufacturing company. The "Configurator" is built
into the Item and Sales Orders forms. If an item has been
configurated in the Materials tab of the Item form this will prompt
the user in Sale order entry to select choices. Their options
include length of the trailer and extras like a water tank or Hay
rack. With the order entry person being prompted for custom
choices and those choices are copied to the manufacturing order for
the production process.
Menco Royal
(February 6, 2009)
After trying to convert to DBA NG with
frustration they have chosen SmallMfg to run their paper company.
The are an "innovative paper company" that reuse packaging material.
Their regional consultant Gerry Shiffler is helping to implement our
semi-custom solution in Missouri.
Olympic Instruments -
(December 31, 2008)
This 63 year old company progressed from a card
system inventory to DBA Software and now on to SmallMFG all with the
assistance of TechnoResources Inc. Their desire for true
windows integration and improving the overall operation pushed for
the change.
Schneider Simpson Sheetmetal - (Dec
10, 2008)
Receiving a simple and clean invoice from a
supplier never helped so much. They received that invoice from
Machine Repair & Design which prompted the question, "what software
do you use?" MRD passed on the our name and now SS Sheetmetal
is on their way to improving their operation with SmallMfg software.
PLC Multipoint - (July 30, 2008)
Facing outdated and unsupported systems, PLC
Multipoint buys SmallMfg software to manage their lighting control
manufacturing company. The opportunity to merge their
different activities into one software package is an exciting
prospect. They have both "Engineer-to-Order" and
"Build-to-Stock" product lines. One of the biggest selling
points was the ability to get the software customize to better fit
their business. An example of this is we are developing the
added feature of managing multiple commissions and multiple
salespersons per sale.
Pioneer Aerofab - (May 10, 2008)
After exploring creating their own internal
manufacturing control software, Pioneer Aerofab turns to SmallMfg.
Pioneer has been using a combination of Quickbooks from Intuit, MS
Excel and a MS Access program to run their aircraft interior
manufacturing company. Utilizing SmallMfg is adding
functionality while focusing on one program.
Pioneer Aerofab required an Estimating module
that tied into the rest of the program. TechnoResources
created a new module with their direction. New Estimates allow
the creation of items, bills of materials, and labor tasks.
The BOM components look up standard costs, vendor quotes or can be
manually overwritten. The calculation can be done on multiple
quantities, this changes is price with amortization of cost. The
estimates can be emailed directly to your contact at a customer or a
prospect.
PBS Order - (November 7, 2007)
They requested Sales Order copy function and the ability to
assign action items to other users. They
have a high number of repeat orders from their customers, which
forced the need for the "copy" function on sales orders. If
the previous order is highlighted on the Sales Order List screen a
right-click or selection will copy that order's information to a new
sales order.
Then all the user needs to do is set the due
dates for this new order. One of the main benefits they found
in small Mfg software is the ability to track "to-do" lists
within the system. Move sticky notes into the system to allow
all users to see these notes will help them organize the project's
action items. The extra ability to assign tasks to other
workers will greatly improve this aspect in small Mfg for
their use.
